This week I’m hoping to make this cute Building Blocks baby quilt by Hyacinth Quilt Designs. Is it crazy to plan my first ever quilt for a short holiday week? Maybe. But I’m giving myself permission to go over on time this week and finish when I need to. I’ll be teaching myself quilting techniques along the way (unless I can find someone to help me out with advice).
Join me this week as I shop for fabric and batting, try to cut and sew precisely, and figure out what the heck stippling is and how one does it on a sewing machine. This one feels ambitious to me, but in the end I hope to have a cuddly baby quilt.
