Amber leads plant walks and teaches basket classes in and around Raleigh, NC. She is passionate about rooting her creativity in place. A trained archaeologist, Amber’s basketry is informed by both historic and prehistoric uses of plant resources. Her ancestors are primarily from Western Europe. She recognizes the native peoples of North America as the first and best caretakers of her current home.
